KL Photo Walk 6: Iphone 7 Plus Test Shot
Instead of doing a photo walk in a specific location, this is a combination of a few spots. Reason being this is also to do a test shot on my newly bought Iphone 7 Plus.
A little background check I'm not really a pixel peeping type of guy where I would go through and zoom in every photos I taken to make sure it's 100% sharp but my previous android phone is really lacking on the photography department. I need something solid that I can used when I don't have my camera with me, and the quality of the android phone isn't really anywhere near acceptable.
Initially was thinking of getting a new Huawei P9 (thats a great camera phone) or the upcoming Google Pixel, but since I've stuck with Android for so long I think I'll make a change this time and go for Apple instead, I choose the Iphone 7 Plus due to the dual lens features.
I won't go into detail bout the technical part of the camera section as there are many blogs have already written it. I've taken it to numerous walk surrounding Petaling Street and Nu Sentral area.
These are the results where mostly were enchanced via VSCOCAM or Snapseed. I'm very satisfied with the outcome of the images and was awestruck by its strong performance in low light situation (for a smartphone).

While being pricey of all, the Iphone 7 + is definitely a great addition camera for street photographer, as I won't be bringing my camera all the time.
Now begs the question, does it beat my DSLR as claimed by Apple? Nope, definitely
not for now, the technology of the iPhone still can't beat the DSLR due to lacked of manual exposure, and in some low lighting, it images still ends up pixelated like crazy (especially if you are using the telelens).
Technology of the smart phone will eventually toppled the conventional camera one day but for now if I want to do serious photography, I'll stick with my trusted Sony A6000.
